Baseball history photo: Athletic Club of Philadelphia player Weston Fisler in 1874.  Fisler played for the Camden Club of New Jersey, his hometown, in 1865 and joined the Athletic Club of Philadelphia in 1866.  Fisler was a member of the 1871 National Association Champion Philadelphia “Athletics” in 1871 as well as a member of the same Philadelphia Club that traveled to Europe for the 1874 World Tour.  He was mainly a first base but he did play a number of games at second and retired after the inaugural National League season in 1876.  He has the distinction of scoring the first run in National League history on April 22, 1876, in a 6-5 loss to the Boston Club in Philadelphia at the Jefferson Street Grounds..
